A peek to Rumah Turi Boutique Hotel in Solo, Indonesia. A small scale hotel with a sustainable design approach.
I managed to convince my parents and hubby to stay here in rumah Turi. I had came across this boutique hotel in booking.com. When I searched the rumah Turi website, I knew I would loved this place and I did.
I could still felt the morning coolness of the artificial rains that came out from the piping along the parameter of the roof. It uses the recycled rain water to harvest the plants and vegetation. They plant the vegetation for the use in the kitchen of the open air cafe. The cafe only has 2 solid walls which is, one that's againts the kitchen and the other one is the front facade with some openings. The other wall was made of planted pots that were arranged in grid manner. The use of LED lights in the cafe enhance the energy saving. I loved the indoor courtyard at the lower ground floor room. The room has full sliding glass door that you can open if you want fresh air. I still have my own privacy due to the double storey walls.
